The other 4 told me they get supply from Nairobi Water just once a week. The other days they buy water. A 20-liter jerrican usually costs them Ksh. 10 or 20.

HINT: If you opt to stay in older buildings, be prepared for potential water challenges due to the absence of storage tanks. In newer buildings, there are large water tanks, and each tenant usually has a metered connection.

Nairobi Water Company has laid new water pipes. It’s usually the responsibility of the landlord to apply for the connection.
